# PIN lock when waiters share one phone

Sign in with a password. A 4-digit PIN on that phone locks the screen before you hand it over. The PIN is not the login.

In a 6-table cafe you rarely buy a device per waiter. One or two phones move around the floor. The risk is obvious: the next person sees the previous screen, or can change things they should not.

Each staff member signs in with restaurant code, username, and **password**. Then they can set a 4-digit PIN on *that phone*. Lock before you hand it over. Unlock is the PIN. The password stays off the floor. The PIN is stored only on that device, not as the login.

# How we expect you to use it

- Owner and Manager set people up (roles: Owner, Manager, Staff)

- Staff take orders and checkout. They do not manage the menu, tables, or users

- If a PIN is set, the phone opens on the lock screen

- Lock before you hand the device to someone else

- Change the PIN on that phone when you need to

This is built for a shared handset, not for a locked cashier PC in the back.
