# Refund and cancellation

When a SpoonCub trial or plan payment can be cancelled or refunded.

This page is about what you pay TechInventify for SpoonCub. It is not about the food bills your guests pay you.

# Trial

A new restaurant starts on a free trial. You can stop during the trial by asking us to close the account. There is nothing to refund for the trial.

# How you pay

You pay by bank transfer, UPI, or another way we agree. We record the payment. The plan starts after we confirm it, and we then send an invoice. The same rules apply if you pay us online.

# When we refund

SituationWhat we do

We have not confirmed the payment yetTell us before we confirm it. We return the money, or we do not start the plan.
We confirmed the payment, and the paid period has not startedWe refund the amount you paid for that period.
The paid period has startedWe do not refund days that have already passed. If we cannot provide the service for a reason on our side, we refund the unused days or extend the period. You can choose which.
You close the restaurant during a paid periodAccess can continue until that period ends. We do not refund the rest, unless the row above applies.
We reject a paymentThe plan does not start. If the money still reached us, we return it.

Where we can, the refund goes back the way you paid (the same bank account or UPI). Your bank decides how long that takes. We do not charge a separate cancellation fee.

# Guest payments

Cash, card, and UPI that guests pay you belong to you. We do not hold that money, so we cannot refund a food bill. Your team handles that with the guest.

# How to ask

Email [billing@spooncub.com](mailto:billing@spooncub.com) from the owner's email. Include the restaurant name, the payment date, and the amount. We reply with a yes or no, and the reason, usually within a few working days. See also [Grievance and contact](https://spooncub.com/legal/grievance/index.md).
