In a 6-table cafe you rarely buy a device per waiter. One or two phones move around the floor. The risk is obvious: the next person sees the previous screen, or can change things they should not.
Each staff member signs in with restaurant code, username, and password. Then they can set a 4-digit PIN on that phone. Lock before you hand it over. Unlock is the PIN. The password stays off the floor. The PIN is stored only on that device, not as the login.
How we expect you to use it
- Owner and Manager set people up (roles: Owner, Manager, Staff)
- Staff take orders and checkout. They do not manage the menu, tables, or users
- If a PIN is set, the phone opens on the lock screen
- Lock before you hand the device to someone else
- Change the PIN on that phone when you need to
This is built for a shared handset, not for a locked cashier PC in the back.
